Matador Meeting: Career Exploration

Students will learn about free tools that will help them start exploring careers. Students will have the opportunity to begin an Interest Profiler using CaliforniaColleges.edu as well as learn how to access and use their results to explore careers. Students should bring their Chromebook. All students are welcome.
Students are encouraged to register for their free CaliforniaColleges.edu account prior to the Matador Meeting. To create your account, follow the steps below:
- Go to CaliforniaColleges.edu
- At the top right, choose "Register Your Account"
- Enter the District Name "Livermore Valley Joint Unified
- Name of school attended by student: "Granada High"
- Enter student ID number
- Enter student date of birth
- Use a personal email address and create a password to complete your account
The Granada College & Career Center, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Livermore Valley, proudly hosted its annual Career Fair on February 26. This event provided the opportunity for all students to explore various career paths and engage with industry professionals from over 30 Bay Area companies. Companies in attendance included Alameda County Sheriff's Office, City of Livermore, Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department, Kaiser Permanente, PG&E, Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley, Topcon, Lawrence Livermore National Lab, Meta, Marcel Orthodontics, Safeway and many more.
