What's Happening??!!

Dear Hawley Parents/Guardians, Teachers, and Staff,

Fall is in full swing. Many GREAT things happening at Hawley with so much more on the way.

I know the year has brought its challenges with masks and distancing, illnesses and exposures, quarantines and no bus drivers. Remember, it is all about keeping our School Community SAFE, and doing our part. Although there are hardships, THIS Newsletter shows that our kids are still kids, and they are the BEST!!!

Buckle up, stay seated, and keep your hands and feet in the car at all times, as you read on to find out What's Happening at Hawley .....

Thank you to the PTA for sponsoring the two Ice Cream Socials. Splitting the Social into two events allowed us to be able to have us all together at Hawley safely within COVID Protocols. Also, Thank You to the Hawley Staff that gave of their time to be present. And, I was so pleased at the number of families that came out and joined us.

This event is very popular and much loved by the Hawley School Community. It was greatly missed last year and it was so exciting to have it this year. Take a look...

It was wonderful seeing so many families in the Hawley Gym carving pumpkins in preparation for Halloween. Thank you to the Father's Club for arranging this terrific evening.

We are crushing this- THANK YOU! Our Goal was $6,000 and we are currently at $14,780, WOW! All money is being used for swings/playground equipment and to Celebrate the Hawley Centennial. Many incentives: The Top class in each grade earns a Pizza Party. The Top student earner will assist me as Principal for a Day.

The Fun Run is THIS Tuesday throughout the day. Still time to donate. For staff wanting to make donations but not connect it to a class or student (just the cause) can do so by Clicking HERE. Just click the Red Box (Donate to this Event)

As a reward for the tremendous fundraising efforts, every grade received an extra recess. The weather last week was perfect. It was great to see the kids outside, running and playing, and being kids. Take a Look.....

• Monday, Oct 25, the PTA is offering a Trunk-Or-Treat Event. Click HERE to reserve a spot and for more information. Anyone can attend whether you have a parking spot or not. We are also collecting candy bag donations for the cars. We have a collection box in our main lobby for candy donations. Just send in a bag of candy in with your child (and pray it makes it to the box ;0) You can also contact Christy Glovaski for more information ( cglovaski14@gmail.com)
