Rocky Branch Newsletter

From the Principal's Office
November 2024
Welcome to our new newsletter format! As a district, we are transitioning to Smore for our online newsletter platform. We'll try to keep things as consistent as possible, but there will be some changes to formatting and access to flyers, etc. Feedback is welcome as we make the switch! Using Smore increases access to translation tools for families and allows for more consistent branding across the district. These newsletters should be mobile phone friendly, as well.
The yellow rectangular buttons are links to attachments where you can view more information about an upcoming event. You will also see blue clickable hyperlinks throughout.
We exceeded our goal of 3,000 diapers for the diaper drive, so I will be dressed as a turkey on Monday! Thank you to all who participated in this community drive. Our grand total was just over 14,700 diapers. We are excited to continue embedding opportunities for service learning throughout the school year. Linda Yde from the River Falls Rotary shared a presentation with students prior to the drive to help them understand the need for diapers in the community and how babies are affected when their family doesn't have access to enough diapers.
A few quick reminders...
- No smoking on school grounds, which includes the parking lot.
- The back gate opens at approximately 3:20 for parent pick up. Please be mindful of traffic backup on Bartosh prior to the grate opening. Typically, all cars are cleared out by 4pm. The line goes quicker than you'd think!
- The next Parent/Teacher Organization (PTO) meeting is at 6:30 on 11/19. Join us!
- Winter weather is fast approaching. See our outdoor dress guidelines HERE.
We had 15 students Caught with Character in October for demonstrating Responsibility!
Congratulations to…

Parent/Teacher Conferences
We are looking forward to seeing all of you for fall conferences!
Due to time constraints, we ask that separated families schedule a conference together whenever possible. This also ensures both parties hear the exact same information about their child. If you have questions or run into issues signing up, please contact Natalie Benusa.
Use the link below to sign up for a 15 minute conference with your child’s teacher.
If you are interested in meeting with a specialist teacher, you can reach out to them by email.
