Our weeks continue to be busy here at St. Mary's! Please note the following upcoming events:

The virtue of focus for this week will be Inspiration, showcasing all of the mother's in our community as well as Mother Mary!

Saturday May 11

- Town Wide Clean up. The Town of Sexsmith offers this annual opportunity to beautify our neighborhoods. Our students participated a little early on Friday, and are active stewards of the environment!

Sunday May 12

-Happy Mother's Day to all in our community who play this very important role!

Monday May 13

- School wide Face-to-Face retreat. Staff and students will be recharged with a empowering sessions with this energetic crew, right here in our own school!

Tuesday May 14

- JH Track Meet at Legion Field for participating athletes. Reminder that students will be taking a bus to the event but will need a parent pick up, as events will be ending at different times. Go Saints Go!

-JH Agriculture Options class will be going down to the Community Gardens to help with planting at this valuable community food source.

Wednesday May 15

- Living Rosary Prayer Service hosted by our junior high class in the gym. All are welcome to attend this important spiritual time that celebrates Mary that will begin at 1:15pm.

Friday May 17

- Grade 5/6 Confirmation Retreat at the Church! This annual expedition gives the students an informal and behind-the-scenes tour of the church and it's function, as well as preparations for the upcoming Sacrament of Confirmation. As part of our Catholic school, all grades 5 and 6 students are expected to attend and will enjoy the day (there will be pizza involved!).

-Saints family member Mrs. Raskauskas will be in to provide a Metis cultural enrichment program for some students!

Students' skills are being sharpened with each reflection, change and market opportunity!
We are very excited to be hosting our first Saints' City Community Micro Night on May 30th from 6:00-7:30pm. Families are welcomed and encouraged to attend to see how this project-based learning model is equipping our students with real-world skills, and creating entrepreneurs and global citizens while having a lot of fun!

Embracing the Courage to Lead!

St. Mary’s staff and students wore BLUE today, on World Catholic Education Day, to appreciate and advocate for the beautiful gift that is Catholic Education!

Our Staff would also like to extend a HUGE thank you to our parent community who blessed us with a beautiful luncheon, gifts and covered supervision for us during Staff Appreciation Week! We are united in education!

From "A Walk in the Forest" to the GP Art Gallery and The Off Season Batting Cages, field trip season is in full swing at St. Mary's!!

Saints' sized CONGRATS to our very own Mrs. Sage-Oake who recieved the Swan City Rotary Club’s Excellence in Education award, recognizing “Service Above Self”. Mrs. Sage-Oake continually gives her own time to coach sports teams, facilitate our snack program, Cobbs bread program and helps out wherever and whenever needed. She truly brings energy and heart to our school family, and we are blessed to have her!

St. Mary's was proud to have both a soccer and ball hockey team represent St. Mary's at this year's 3D Charity Tournament. This amazing organization raises funds for students who are dealing with serious medical issues in our community!

Online registration is now open for the 2024-2025 school year for any students NEW to our St. Mary's family! Students who are already enrolled at the school will automatically roll into the next grade, with no action needed from parents/ guardians.

Do you know of someone in our community who may be interested in our school? Please consider advocating by sharing what you enjoy about our Saints family! Encourage them to contact the office if they have any questions, we're here to help and would love to grow our school community!

Did you know!? PreK Fees are due on the first of each month! School related fees, including JH Options for Term 1, 2 and 3, PreK and extracurricular fees including sports, and transportation fees are now due and can easily be paid online through the PowerSchool Parent Portal or in the office via debit, credit or cash. Please contact the office if you need assistance with PowerSchool Parent Portal.

Please contact the office if you're unsure of your student's current fee standing, or if you'd like to make arrangements for payment. Failure to pay fees may result in removal from programming.
