Here's What's Happening at Riverview
A Message From Ms. Poulson
I can't believe that January is already over. Time flies so fast! As we move into February, I am excited to share the wonderful activities and events we have planned for this month. February is filled with opportunities for learning, kindness, and community engagement.
Some events we have to look forward to the month are the Science Fair, Kindness Week, Valentine's Day, and White Ribbon Week. White Ribbon Week will be celebrated from February 24th to 28th, we will be focusing on digital safety and responsible internet use. This initiative aims to educate our students about the importance of staying safe online through engaging lessons and activities.
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community. Let’s make February a fantastic month for our students!
If I can help in anyway, please reach out to me. Let's have an AMAZING month!
Thank you,
Ms. Poulson
Science Fair
Our annual Science Fair for 3rd-5th grade students will take place on February 6th. This event is an excellent opportunity for students to showcase their scientific inquiries and innovative projects. We encourage all students to participate and parents to come see the amazing work of our young scientists.
Kindness Week
Join us in celebrating Kindness Week from February 10th - 14th. Throughout the week, students will engage in activities that promote kindness and empathy. We hope to inspire everyone in our school community to spread kindness and make Riverview a better place.

Valentine's Day
We will celebrate Valentine's Day on Friday, February 14th. Teachers will be sending notes home about individual classroom celebrations. Please read communication from your individual student's teacher about Valentine boxes and cards.
This is such a fun holiday and it's even more fun when everyone leaves school feeling loved and included. We ask that parents please consider the following:
1. Please send a valentine for each child in the class so that no one is left out.
*If your child would like to give a special, bigger gift to individual students, please deliver those outside of school.
2. We encourage parents to give Valentine gifts to their children at home (stuffed animals, flowers, balloon bouquets, etc).
Flowers, balloons and other deliveries will be held in the front office and given to students at the very end of the day to limit distractions in classrooms.
