PAGE MIDDLE SCHOOL
September 23rd - September 27th
Principal's Message
Page Middle Families,
We had an exciting week hosting a Pep Rally at the PHS football stadium. It was great to see our students showing school pride and enjoying themselves. We also enjoyed Panther Party on Friday night. All money raised from Panther Party funds our Positive Behavior Support plan. We will have "Panther Den" this week where students can use their "Panther Points" to buy a treat. This is part of our plan to positively reinforce students who demonstrate the school behaviors of Prompt, Polite, and Prepared. We have seen our students rise to these expectations better than ever this year. Behavior, particularly at this age, is a skill that needs to be taught and developed. Our staff works hard to teach those skills just like we do academic behaviors.
6th grade families please check out the Parent Information/Education night on Tuesday night. This will help you learn tips on how to support your child in 6th grade and the rest of middle school.
I have begun reading a book called The Anxious Generation by Jonathon Haidt. It has been a very insightful read so far. I encourage you to look into it. The author presents some very good data regarding the influence of social media and technology on student mental and social wellness. I will be sharing some thoughts I glean from this book in upcoming newsletters.
Thanks again for your overwhelming support of the PTO's Invest in Page campaign. This investment will help our students and teachers to have the best resources available.
Go Panthers!
Dr. Eric Lifsey

Now that our 6th graders have been in middle school for almost 9 weeks, many parents are wondering ..... Now What?
This presentation will help answer the questions:
- How do I know what is happening during school?
- What questions should I ask my child to best understand what they need?
- What do I need to know to help my child have a positive middle school experience?
Please fill out the google form below if you plan to attend. Filling out the form isn't mandatory to attend but will help us better prepare a venue for the presentation.
