Off to a Great Start
I hope all of our students and families have adjusted to being back in school. Remind students that if they are starting to fall behind or struggling in a class, they should talk to their teachers. Also, please make sure your students have their parking stickers in their cars and are parking in the right spot.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Atkins
Words from a Cop
Parking has been an issue, thus far, at the High School.
Students please remember to park in YOUR spot. If there are any issues with parking, please let us know. We will try to resolve the issue quickly. Continuing with parking, if a student parks in the wrong space, this creates a snowball effect. Parking is and has always been a safety issue. It helps the school keep track of where the student is; if they have left, or are at the school. It falls under the school's safety and liability concerns. The students have paid for their spots therefore, we ask that all students be respectful of others. Please help with the issue.
Visitors! The front row is yours for the taking. They are the spots without numbers.
Questions about parking see Principal Atkins, or myself.
Stay safe, stay vigilant

Notes from the Nurse.....
Please be aware that no medication, including over-counter-medication, will be administered to any student without a completed Medication Authorization Form containing a healthcare provider’s signature as well as a parent/guardian signature. This is to comply with Michigan Law/Michigan School Health Code (380.1178-380.1179a) and the Swan Valley School District policy (8670). This policy is to ensure the safety of the student and for protection of liability for school staff. We appreciate your cooperation. You may obtain the Medication Authorization Form from the district’s website (swanvalleyschools.com) or pick-up a copy from the school office. Please contact me at 989-921-2621 or via email @ knewman@swanvalley.k12.mi.us should you have questions or concerns. I would be happy to help obtain your healthcare provider’s signature for your convenience. Thank you!
