From School Administration
During the months of May and June, our students will take part in many special events including field trips, chorus concert, band and strings concerts, and Simulated Congressional Hearings to name a few. I speak on behalf of the entire staff when I say we are all so proud of the students' accomplishments this past year. I also want to take this opportunity to thank our amazing staff for their collaboration, dedication, and enthusiasm! Next week we honor them as we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week!
We are also very grateful for our families' support throughout the year. This partnership is key to ensuring our students succeed and feel supported.
During May and June, we have a great deal of content to cover and much work to be done to ensure our students are 100% prepared for the next grade level. Please be sure students are here each day on time, as attendance is key to their success.
We look forward to seeing you at our spring events, both academic and social. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or if we can be of any assistance.
Mr. Cosentino, Principal

Information Worth Repeating
PICTURE DAY: May 7, 2024
Picture Day is a Fundraiser!
Did you know that picture day profits benefit the school? School administration works with picture companies to raise funds to provide school supplies for classrooms. When teachers and staff ask for supplies that the school system does not purchase, school administrators use funds from school picture day. Please consider purchasing a picture day package to help benefit the school.
Picture Day is coming soon!
To order spring photos, you must return the flyer/order envelope on Picture Day. Online pre-ordering is NOT available for spring photos – the envelope must be returned on Picture Day.
Class group photos will be taken on Picture Day for all students. For individual portraits, only students who bring in their envelopes on Picture Day will be photographed.
Please look for the flyer/order envelope that will be sent home with your child soon!
We look forward to seeing your smiles soon on Picture Day!

RESPONSE NEEDED: Bus Registration for the 2024-2025 School Year
Mandatory bus transportation registration for the 2024-2025 school year is now open for parents/guardians of eligible students. All families received an email about registration on 4/4/2024. Here is the message again for your review and action:
Parents/guardians whose children are eligible for bus transportation are asked to register to receive bus service each year to help the school system plan for student transportation needs. The transportation registration process will be open through Friday, 5/31/24, and will be completed online via the HCPSS Connect Synergy program. Registration must be done for each eligible child.
To be eligible for bus service, your child’s home address must be outside of your school’s designated walk zone. You can verify address eligibility in the HCPSS School Attendance Area Locator. After inputting your address, a window will appear that will indicate either bus or walk for each school level. Please note, the attendance area locator also includes a link for the bus stop locator, which is set for the current school year. Bus stop information for the 2024-2025 school year will be available in August.
You do not need to take any action if:
- Your child is not eligible for bus transportation.
- Your child is scheduled to receive transportation as part of their Individualized Education Program (IEP) or 504 Plan for the 2024-2025 school year.
- Your child is a graduating senior.
CLICK HERE for details on bus transportation registration, including a guide on how to register and various scenarios families may see when registering.
