FIrst Day back is Monday, January 6
Principal's Message
The weeks are flying by with Cross Country, Basketball, The Terry Fox Run, (Carisbrooke raised $800 for Cancer Research), Orange Shirt Day, Student Council, and Collaboration Day. Have you ever wondered what the staff does on Collaboration Day? At last month's Collaboration Day, we learned about conflict resolution with the North Shore Restorative Justice Society (NSRJ) . We learned ways to encourage active listening skills, perspective taking, and empathy for others. The goal is to create kind and caring classrooms and, use these skills to create caring communities. Read more about NSRJ here: https://www.nsrj.ca/ On the next Collaboration Day, Oct. 30, our staff will practise using the robotics equipment, supplied last year by the PAC. I hope you enjoy this month's newsletter.

Library Adopt-A- School Fundraiser
Congratulations, Carisbrooke! Together, with West Vancouver Indigo's support, we raised over $9300 for new library books and resources. Thank you to the children and families who participated in the school Read-A-Thon. Ms. Walker and Ms. Ehling's classes won a pizza lunch for their excellent effort to read and raise money.
