Oak Grove Families:
We would like to say “thank you” for allowing us to work alongside our great staff this school year. It is an amazing place and we so enjoy watching your children learn and grow. Thank you for entrusting the Oak Grove faculty and staff with your sons and daughters. They bring so much happiness to us on a daily basis.
We hope you enjoy some wonderful family time together over the Holiday break. Please take time to relax, have fun, and find joy in each and every day. We look forward to seeing everyone again on January 6th! Happy Holidays!
With Oak Grove pride,
Dr. McKay & Dr. Lemon
I wanted to take a brief moment to express my gratitude for your dedication to your child/ren's education and for your continuous support and commitment to Oak Grove. As a reminder, winter break begins on December 23 and ends on January 3. Please stay safe, and we look forward to seeing you all back at school on January 6, 2025.
Sincerely,
Principal Murray
Student and Staff Spotlights/Stories
One of Oak Grove’s own, Arianna, won first place at the prestigious Toshiba/NSTA ExploraVision Competition (Grades 4-6) for her team's innovative Plastivore Trashcan project. Each teammate won a laptop and a $10,000 prize. The team was honored in the US Capitol with an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, DC., and felicitated by industry leaders like Taro Shimada (President and CEO, Toshiba Corporation), Bill Nye (The Science Guy), and many more.
Their journey included TV interviews, press briefings, and a science showcase at the National Press Club in Washington, DC. Ariana's words, "Being in this competition showed me how important it is to work hard and not give up," encapsulate the spirit of this remarkable achievement.
