Cherrydale Primary School
Cheetah Newsletter January 15, 2025
From the Office
Happy Wednesday Cherrydale Families!
As we continue to foster a positive and focused learning environment for all our students, we’d like to remind families about our district policy regarding the use of smartwatches and cell phones during the school day.
We understand that many students use smartwatches and phones for communication, safety, and convenience. While at school to maintain an optimal learning environment, student phones must remain turned off and put away during the instructional day. If your student has a smartwatch, we recommend setting it to "school mode" or an equivalent setting to limit notifications and prevent distractions during class time.
We also kindly request that families refrain from communicating with your child directly on their devices during the school day. If you need to get in touch with your child during the school day, please contact the main office. Our staff will ensure that your message is relayed in a timely manner,
We appreciate your understanding and support in reinforcing this policy to help us create the best possible learning experience for all students. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for your continued support of our school!
Warm Regards,
Christine Firth, Principal
