Summer Updates
A note from the Head of School
Dear CSA Family and Friends,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I hope you had a wonderful summer filled with rest, adventure, and family time. As we gear up for another exciting year, I wanted to share some important information to ensure a smooth start.
First Day of School:
- Date: August 19th
- Time: 8:35 AM - 3:05 PM (Doors open at 8:05 AM for breakfast)
Orientation and Back-to-School Events:
- New Scholar Orientation: August 5th - 8th, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
- Back-to-School Meet & Greet: August 16th, 1:00 PM - 3:30 PM
School Supplies:
CSA requires basic school supplies with are provided by the district. Scholars can pick up their school supply kit at the Back-to-School Meet & Greet on August 16th. If your scholar(s) cannot attend the event, simply see a member of the Admin team during the first day of school.
All students enrolled in Algebra and Geometry this year are required to have the following calculator:
- TI-30X IIS Calculator
For art major specific lists, teachers will provide scholars with a list. Every major is varies and some supplies are provided by the school.

Graduation Class of 2026!
Welcome to your senior year of high school! Yes, it is your senior year. This year is filled with many exciting events and opportunities designed to celebrate your achievements and prepare them for the next chapter of your lives.
Here are some of the highlights to look forward to:
1. Senior Assembly: Kicking off the year, this event will bring together the senior class to outline the year’s events, expectations, and opportunities. It’s a great way to build excitement and unity.
2. College and Career Fair: Scheduled for [TBA], these events will provide students with the chance to meet with representatives from colleges, universities, and various career fields in the arts. It’s an invaluable opportunity for you to explore your post-graduation options.
3. Homecoming pep-rally and Homecoming Dance: Taking place on Friday, October 18, from 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM. The Homecoming pep-rally will be held during normal school hours.
4. Senior Portraits and Yearbook: Don’t forget to schedule your senior’s portrait session. These photos will be a key part of the yearbook, capturing this significant milestone. Details about dates and requirements will be sent out soon.
5. Prom: One of the most anticipated events of the year, Prom will be held on Friday, June 6th at The Glidden House. It promises to be a night of elegance and fun that our seniors will cherish forever.
6. Senior Trip: Our seniors will have the chance to bond and create lifelong memories during the senior trip to. This trip is a highlight of the year.
7. Graduation: The culmination of four years of hard work and dedication, our graduation ceremony will be held on Sunday, June 8th at John Hay High School. This is a proud moment for our students, families, and faculty as we celebrate your accomplishments.
8. Other Events and Activities: Throughout the year, there will be various other events including senior nights for the arts, student council, academic award ceremonies, and community service projects.
We encourage all families to stay engaged and support their seniors through this pivotal year. Detailed information about each event will be communicated as the dates approach. Additionally, please ensure your contact information is up to date with our office to receive timely updates.

New Scholar Orientation 2024
All new scholars (freshmen & transfers) are invited to attend our 4 day orientation. Scholars will spend time learning more about the CSA WAY, the building, their major, and preparations for the 2024-2025 school year. Parents orientation is Wednesday, August 7th and 8th. Parents whose last name begin with the letters A-J will attend Wednesday. Parents whose last name begin with the letters K-Z will attend Thursday. Use the registration link below to sign-up.
