Library Updates
These last couple of weeks we have been gearing up for the end of the year and also working with Ms. Hashem's and Mr. Tyrell's ESOL students on a research project learning about countries and cities around the world by creating detailed maps within Google My Maps and analyzing cultural artwork using Google Arts & Culture.
We've also been working on a website to promote summer reading. Please scroll down for more information related to that!

Public Library Cards
Even if students aren't able to make it to the public library over the summer, as long as they have a library card, students will be able to borrow an endless supply eBooks through FCPL's Overdrive account. Overdrive is a book lover's dream! There are tons of wonderful Young Adult books and no late fees! When your loan period is up for a book, the book simply disappears from your account. Ebooks may be downloaded onto any eReader (such as Kindle or Nook), tablet, or smart phone. Students who don't possess one of these devices can read eBooks on their computers. Overdrive also offers innumerable audiobooks that can be played on any device that plays mp3s. It's such an awesome resource!
To obtain a temporary library card (good for three weeks), students and parents can apply online. In order to acquire a more permanent card, you will have to pay a quick visit to your local library.
