Hewitt-Trussville Basketball will host Youth Night on Friday in conjunction with the Area games against Oak Mountain. Kids with TPR, Upward, or Husky Hoops jerseys can get in free. There will also be a halftime performance from the youth Teams of Tomorrow group.

The AHSAA North Bowling Regional is coming to Trussville next week. The event will be held January 23-24 at Sparetime in Trussville. Competition will begin at 9am both days and will finish at approximately 5pm each day.

The HT Boys and HT Girls finished in the top two in 6A-7A Region 7 this season and have advanced to the Regional. The HT Girls will open the Regional Thursday morning with a matchup against Homewood. The HT Boys open play Thursday afternoon against Mortimer Jordan. The top four teams from the Regional will advance to the State Tournament.

Hewitt-Trussville participated in the Indoor Track Octameet last Wednesday. The HT Girls finished 1st as a team and the HT Boys finished 2nd as a team. The Huskies will return to the Crossplex for the final regular season meet on January 24.

The 7th Grade Metro Basketball Tournament will be held at Hewitt-Trussville Middle School next week.

The 7th Grade Huskies have a first round bye and will open play on Wednesday at 4:45pm.

The 8th Grade Huskies will travel to Thompson for their tournament. HT will begin play on Tuesday.

The MS Metro Basketball tournaments will be played next week. The 7th Grade Huskies will travel to Bumpus for their tournament. HT will open play on Tuesday against Oak Mountain. The 7th Grade Huskies ended the regular season with a 36-35 win over Bragg.

The 8th Grade Huskies will travel to Pizitz for their tournament. HT finished 2nd in the North division and will open play on Wednesday against either Oak Mountain or Liberty Park.

The HTMS Wrestling team defeated Pizitz 60-30 in a dual last Thursday. These Huskies won matches:

Colt Stewart, Grayson Beasley, William Hodgin, Banks Vessels, Griffin Alfano, Jameson Brandon, Henry Bridges, Kaiden Hunt, Hunter Jordan, and Benjamin Sharit.
