A Message from Coach Swann
Happy summer Viking XC athletes! If you are planning on running next fall, then I need you to start your training this summer. Every little bit you do will help kick start your season in a positive direction. Below is the link to join the Google Classroom for next season. I will be adding to it through out the summer with training ideas and motivation. We have had a couple great seasons over the last couple years, but if we are going to compete for another district title then we will have to put the work in over the summer. So join the classroom and connect with some other athletes and have some fun training together.
Thanks and have a great summer!
Coach Swann

Dear PSD Community:

Lesher Minecraft Tour!
Over the past 2 years, Design Club has been busy building a scale model of Lesher in Minecraft! We used Google Earth to measure an outline from above – each block was ½ meter in length. They took pictures of every classroom and made sure every single detail was accounted for – down to the color of the flooring to Mr. Swann on hall duty in the front. They used redstone (it’s a special kind of Minecraft block that is like electricity) to power lights, run water to the water fountains, and play a special tune when you press a button at the front door.
Evie Eslinger, Esther Johnson, and Emilia Mellizo Kroll have been integral as the ‘mayors’ of this online community. They have presented their work at several teacher trainings at the district level!
Last week, this video was presented to 5th graders and they loved seeing their new school!
