Tuesday 4-H Fair News Blast

Livestock Exhibitor cards can be picked up in the 4-H office. We also have markers, staplers, and tape that you can borrow; just bring back these supplies when you are finished.

Exhibitor numbers for 4-Hers showing livestock will be available at the 4-H Office on the fairgrounds. Only livestock exhibitors need an exhibitor number.

And while talking about the livestock exhibitor cards, all 4-Hers can come to the 4-H office and get "ribbon stickers" after their show to put on their exhibit cards. There are even Grand and Reserve stickers with ribbons you can put on your card(s).

7:00-9:00 a.m. Swine weigh in and Hog Scanning for Carcass Contest (4-H Member or family member must be with pigs when weighed)

7:00 a.m. All Dairy Goats and Dairy Cattle in place on fairgrounds.

8:00 a.m. 4-H Horse Show (Horse Arena)

8:00 a.m. Dairy Cow Show, Dairy Goat Show and Other Goats Show (Dairy Goats & Dairy Cows in milk may be released after the show)

11:00 am Meat Goat Show

1:00 p.m. Sheep Show

2:00 p.m. Check in Feeder Calves

4:30 p.m. Feeder & Bucket Calf Show, Cow/Calf Show (Bucket calves arrive by 4:00 p.m. and are released after the show. Feeder Calves may stay.)

5:00 pm Port Chops on a Stick, and Hot Dogs, provided by KanEquip for all 4-Hers, their families, and customers (north of the Open Air Auditorium). They will serve until the food is gone!

All trophy winners, special prize money winners, and special recognition awards will come with an addressed 4-H thank you note, made out to the person who donated the money towards that award. If you receive one of these, it is your responsibility to thank the person(s) who sponsored that award. If you need more thank you notes, we have a supply of them in the 4-H office.

4-Hers who enter static exhibits can "put their name in the bucket" for a door prize. Winners of the door prizes will be announced tomorrow, Wednesday, August 7th.

The Cake Auction went well tonight. Thanks to everyone who make an entry, and thanks to all the supporters!

After the cake auction, the doors were opened to the 4-H Exhibit Hall for the big reveal! Guests could view the exhibits, ribbons, and prizes while munching on goodies from our awesome 4-H bakers and chefs! We also had an open house to the newly renovated 4-H Office. Thanks to the fair board, it looks GREAT!
