We had a great first week of Spring Testing with about 90% of sophomore students completing the ELA SBA! This week we will have testing on Tuesday and Thursday again with the same testing schedule.

If you are a 10th, 11th, or 12 grader testing this week, you received a message with details about times, locations, materials needed and how to update Chromebooks. Please contact your counselors if you have any questions.

Testing schedule this week.

• April 23 SBA Math CAT for all 10th graders and for 11th and 12th graders needing to meet their graduation pathway
• April 25 SBA Math PT for 10th graders and for 11th and 12th graders needing to meet their graduation pathway
• April 26 Make up testing

What if I'm not testing?

• 9th graders will be in advisory classrooms watching Senior Project Presentations.
• 11th graders not testing are not required to be at school until 10:35 AM when first period starts.
• If you missed the ELA or WCAS testing last week, you can show up and make-up testing on Tuesday or Thursday

• 12th graders not testing will be giving Senior Project Presentations. See your advisory teacher for time and location. 12th graders not testing will only need to arrive at school for their scheduled presentation during testing.

AP testing will happen May 6, 2024 - May 17, 2024. All testing will happen at SHS but specific locations are still being determined. Below is a list of when testing will occur.

Students will need to accept these terms and conditions prior to taking each exam.

Any updates to the terms and conditions will be clearly summarized on the terms and conditions page.

We’ll send AP students email reminders to review these terms and conditions at cb.org/apexamterms before the exam administration.

Note: For AP courses with a portfolio submission (AP Art and Design, AP Computer Science Principles, AP Seminar, and AP Research), students will need to agree to the Digital Portfolio AP Exam Terms and Conditions (.pdf/224 KB) before submitting their work as final in the AP Digital Portfolio.

Fall EVF appointment window is from April 22th-May 8th. Please schedule an appointment with Mr. Johnson during the EVF window to receive your Fall EVF. Fall Quarter 2024 registration at Pierce begins May 6th for returning running start students only!

EVF appointments are a great opportunity to check in, review graduation requirements, discuss college applications and answer any questions students may have.

If you are in the Class of 2025 and are NEW to Running Start, please follow the same steps as New Running Start students who are in the class of 2026. You will need to make an appointment with Mr. Johnson for your Fall EVF appointment starting April 22.

**If you are interested in Summer Quarter, you need to request your Summer EVF during your Fall EVF appointment.

It’s time to schedule your EVF appointment. Ms. Johnson is available for EVF appointments from April 29-May 17. Appointments made prior to April 29th will be asked to reschedule. Fall 2024 Registration at Pierce College begins May 20th. It’s strongly recommended that a parent/guardian attends the first initial EVF appointment. This is to promote collaboration and understanding of the Running Start program. After the first EVF appointments, parents do not need to attend future EVF appointments. Students will need to meet with Ms. Johnson three times a year to receive their EVF (prior to registration for Fall Quarter, Winter Quarter and Spring Quarter)

Prior to your Fall EVF appointment, students MUST complete the steps found in the Running Start Steps and complete the Running Start Agreement.

Come prepared knowing how many classes (if any) the student would like to take at SHS. (SHS course requests will be cleared out after this meeting). See Pierce College Course Equivalency Guide to help with your planning.

**If you are interested in Summer Quarter, you need to request your Summer EVF during your Fall EVF appointment. Class of 2026 students are eligible for up to 10 college credits during Summer Quarter.
