The board voted to approve the Rock Hill SOARS Waiver Request.
This request was urgently needed to allow Coordinating Teachers, fully certified in their areas of instruction and trained as SC Peer Evaluators and Mentors, to serve as Teachers of Record for classes where a Resident Teacher Candidate is awaiting certification approval from the SC Department of Education. To support this work, the Human Resources department requested that the Board of Trustees, as the key decision-makers, take the following action, “The Rock Hill Schools Board of Trustees approved the Administration’s request to submit a waiver in support of the Rock Hill SOARS Coordinating Teacher and Resident Teacher Candidate program.
