Nancy Young Elementary - Dynamic Dolphins 1st Quarter WINNERS!

Congratulations to our outstanding students who have been selected as our Quarter 1 Dynamic Dolphin winners! These students have consistently shown exemplary behavior and have set a positive example for their peers. Their dedication to being role models in our school community is truly inspiring. We’re incredibly proud of each one of them and applaud their achievements. As we look ahead to the next quarter, our focus will shift to recognizing students who demonstrate empathy and compassion towards others. We can’t wait to see the wonderful acts of kindness and understanding from our future honorees!

Trunk or Treat SUCCESS!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to our Trunk or Treat event! We are so grateful to the 30+ families who went above and beyond with their creative and festive trunk decorations—they made the evening truly magical for everyone. Thank you to all who generously donated candy, and to everyone who showed their support by attending. Perhaps the biggest thanks should go to out to our PTA executive board memebers! Thank you for organizing and supporting this fun filled community event! Community members - your participation and enthusiasm made this event a fantastic success, and we can’t wait to see you all next year!

5th Grade Parents - Prelude Information

Hello 5th Grade Parents,

Currently your child is involved in Prelude, a program that takes place during music time. Students are being introduced to the fourteen band and orchestra instruments that are taught in middle school and students are getting a hands-on experience with each one.

At the end of Prelude, students wishing to play in Middle School Band or Orchestra will be selecting an instrument for class placement.

On Thursday, November 7th at 7:30pm an informational meeting will be held at Granger Middle School in the cafeteria. During this 45-minute meeting, parents will be provided with an overview of the Prelude program as well as the Music program at Granger Middle School. You will also get to meet the Granger Middle School music staff and ask them questions about the music program. This is a very important meeting if you would like your child to participate in band/chorus/orchestra since middle school registration is right around the corner.

2nd Reminder - Parent/Teacher Conferences

Set a reminder to scheudle your conference!

Parent/teacher conferences for preschool, elementary, middle and high school will take place on Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 4:30 pm - 8:00 pm and Monday, November 25, 2024 from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm and 4:30 pm - 8:00 pm.

Elementary, middle, and high school parents can begin scheduling conferences through ParentVUE on November 13 starting at 6:00 am. Preschool families will receive directions for how to register for conferences from your child’s classroom teacher.

To schedule your conference for elementary, middle, and high school students, log in to ParentVUE and select "Conference" from the menu on the left side to see the times available. Once you have scheduled your conference, you can click "Email Schedule" to have the details emailed to you. You can also go back to ParentVUE at any time to view the information. Conference scheduling will remain open through November 19 at 6:00 pm.

The NYE PTA is looking for pictures for the 24-25 yearbook. Please upload pictures of your student(s) at school events ONLY, to the following link, 24-25 yearbook albums. Please ensure to choose the appropriate folder from the drop down menu under "Upload to album". Note, only the yearbook editor will be able to see the pictures. By uploading your pictures does not guarantee the pictures will be included in the yearbook.
