Athletic Shout Out!
Good luck to Jackson Orrell and Wylan Damon as they compete in the PIAA AAA State wrestling tournament March 6-8.
Good luck to the girls basketball team as they host the first round of states March 7th at 7 PM in the Fitzkee Athletic Center.
The Regional Bowling tournament is this weekend. Nolan Wolfrom and Kailynn Jones are competing in the individual portion tomorrow in Lancaster and the team qualified for the team portion which is on Saturday. The team consists of Westley David, Dalton Ludwig, Alex Newby, Kailynn Jones, Nolan Wolfrom, Declan Wolfe and Hannah Merriel.
Mr. Donagher's Life Skills class was out in the community this week picking up trash.
YCASE Finalist Exhibition Preview
We have 16 students who have artwork in the final exhibition! The Finalist Exhibition, will be on view to the public from February 28-March 22 in Gallery Hall at Marketview Arts.
There will also be a community reception for the Finalist Exhibition at Marketview Arts on March First Friday (March 7) from 5–9 p.m.
Marketview Arts is located at 37 W. Philadelphia St. in downtown York. Parking is available nearby at the Philadelphia Street Parking Garage.

This week Student Council hosted the Junior High Student Council at our school for a conference. Students engaged in four different workshops, team building activities and worked in their committees to create ideas for improvement for the rest of the year.
Student Council hosted Wish Week this past week. Students were able to choose a prize they wanted to win during Wish Week. This week we revealed all of the winners. Here are a few of the prizes students won!
SAT Testing March 8, 2025
Red Lion will host SAT testing on the morning of March 8, 2025, visit sat.org/register to sign up. The registration deadline is February 21st. Contact the counseling department if you have any questions!
Pawsitive Pal
This week’s Pawsitive Pal is Mr. Matt Dennish!!
Mr. Matt Dennish is committed to preparing students academically, equipping them with lifesaving skills, and supporting our athletic programs. He brings in the National Guard for CPR and Stop the Bleed training, ensuring students are ready to respond in emergencies. His impact was recently highlighted when a student used the Heimlich to assist his friend who was choking and credited Mr. Dennish for teaching him the skill. Beyond the classroom, Mr. Dennish actively supports various sporting events and takes a leadership role in shaping our health curriculum. His dedication to student success and school involvement makes a lasting impact.

College Visits!
Attention 10th, 11th and 12th graders... please check Naviance for upcoming college visits. We have a few colleges coming to our school to meet with interested students. We have Harrisburg University of Science and Technology coming on Tuesday, February 25th, at 9:30am and Shippensburg University coming Thursday, April 10th, at 12pm. If you are interested please go to Naviance to sign up for the college visits. You must be passing all of your classes in order to attend a college visit. If you have any questions or need help signing up, please stop by the Counseling Office and see Mrs. Hill.
