November 3, 2024
Message from Our Principal Ms. Roberson
As we enter the final months of the year, I want to take a moment to thank you for the incredible support you provide to our Coyote Ridge Elementary School community. I cannot even begin to tell you how many community members, other principals, district leaders, and parents have stopped me to share the many great things they have heard and seen at Coyote Ridge. I have you to thank for that! Sharing the great news of the amazing things that are happening at Coyote Ridge has helped to keep our school special! Your involvement has made such a significant difference in our students' success, and we are so grateful for the partnership we share.
During November and December, we encourage our students to reflect on gratitude, kindness, and community. It’s a time to celebrate their growth and support their goals, both academic and personal. We’re committed to making every day count by providing engaging learning experiences, fostering a sense of belonging, and helping each child feel empowered to reach their potential. We are a Leader in Me campus! Every month we focus on one of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. This month our focus is on Habit #2 - Begin with the End in Mind! You will receive a newsletter ever month highlighting one of our habits. Please review that and share with your children.
In the spirit of the season, we’ll be hosting several events that invite families to share in our school celebrations. Please keep an eye out for updates, and as always, feel free to reach out with any questions or ideas. Your support makes all the difference!

Morning Drop-off Support
Please help our families by continuing to pull forward to the bend and wrap around for drop off. When you view the map, the main front entrance should only be used for parents/families using the crosswalk to walk over for drop-off. The main entrance is NOT a drop-off area for the car line.
STAFF IS VISIBLE TO SUPPORT AT THE BEND AND DROPOFF.
At 7:15, our staff is ready to accept families. Some vehicles are stopping at the front entrance to "watch their kids". PreK families are not able to get around the vehicles. Please park if needed. Our PreK families have hand-to-hand assistance at the bend. Our drop-off around the bend (notated by a STAR) and at the doors (notated by a STAR) are aided by on-duty staff to assist with doors. Exiting here is closest to doors, especially on rainy days! Once you reach the large cones, you child may exit.
When traffic comes to a stop, it is usually 5 seconds or less to begin moving again. Please model patience with our staff and families. We all want to ensure that students AND staff members are safe.
Please notice if you park- the arrows to exit. You may only exit in this direction during the school day. Vehicles enter by Maumee to park, which does not allow enough space for vehicles to also exit during arrival and dismissal.
Let’s continue to GLOW by working together!

For example, it will provide an interactive fiction book along with a nonfiction ebook. See the image below!

Helpful tips:
Please be sure Coyote Ridge Elementary is selected for your school. If it is not, we will not be able to see you on our list of approved volunteers.
Note that new fields have been added to the application – if you are volunteering on behalf of a business, civic, or faith-based organization, please be sure to add that information.
Your skill set is asked in order to support classroom instruction, as needed – be sure your skill set is up to date in case we need your particular skills on our campus.
After making any needed changes, scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Save application.”
Happy volunteering! 😊

Update from CRE Administration
Effective August 13, 2024, all visitors will be required to show their government-issued ID to the camera prior to entering the building EACH AND EVERY VISIT. Please make sure to plan ahead and have your ID ready for the camera upon ringing the doorbell. Unfortunately, visitors without ID will not be able to enter the building or sign students out even when ID has already been scanned in the system. This does include all volunteers, lunch visitors, room parents, etc. Thank you for your cooperation as we will follow district guidelines to ensure the safety of every student!
Food deliveries from a restaurant or delivery service for students are not permitted under any circumstances. If the district/campus allows lunch deliveries, they may only be made by a student’s parent/guardian unless the parent/guardian has given approval for another designated adult to make a lunch delivery on a specified date and time. Food deliveries must be secured and labeled with the student’s name and grade level as they are dropped off at the office by the parent. Please make sure that any lunch deliveries happen as early in the day as possible so that the office has time to ensure the student is able to access their lunch in time to eat in the cafeteria. Lunch deliveries and lunch visitors will not be accepted during STAAR, TELPAS, or other testing days.
