This week, we’re celebrating the incredible teachers who make a difference in our students’ lives every single day. Their hard work, dedication, and love for learning help shape our children into curious, capable, and confident learners. Join us in showing gratitude for all they do—whether it’s a kind note, a thoughtful gesture, or a simple “thank you,” it all means so much. Let’s make sure our teachers feel the appreciation they truly deserve!
Children's Day Celebration
Monday, May 5th
We’re excited to share that we are celebrating our amazing students during Specials with a fun-filled event featuring an obstacle course, piñatas, and treats! This is sure to be a day our students won’t soon forget.
A special thank you goes out to Angela Robles and the incredible group of moms who helped organize and run this celebration. We are so grateful for their time, creativity, and energy in making this event so memorable!
RHS Track Visit with 4th and 5th Grade
Tuesday, May 6th
We’re excited to share that our 4th and 5th grade students will be joined by some of our very own RHS track athletes! These student-athletes will be talking with our students about the attitudes and habits that help them succeed both on the track and in the classroom.
To celebrate, students will enjoy a BBQ lunch and play some fun games—an afternoon full of inspiration, teamwork, and leadership!
A big thank you to Heidi Bair, Genevan Farr, Reagan Yamashita, and Chris Bomba for making this event possible. We know this experience will leave a lasting impression on our future leaders!
Battle of the Books - Final Battle
Thursday, May 8th
For our students participating in Battle of the Books, the final showdown is happening this Thursday! Teams will go head-to-head, answering questions from the books they’ve read in this fun and exciting competition.
We invite families to come cheer them on in the gym from 2:45–3:30 PM. It’s going to be a great celebration of reading, teamwork, and friendly competition—hope to see you there!
Art Showcase, Auction, and 1st Grade Music Program.
Thursday, May 8th
We’re excited to invite you to our Annual Art Show and Auction from 5:30–6:30 PM!
🖼️ From 5:30–6:00, the school will be open for families to walk through and enjoy the beautiful artwork created by our talented students.
🎵 At 6:00, our amazing 1st grade students will give a quick music performance.
🎉 Immediately after, we’ll kick off the art auction!
Come celebrate creativity, talent, and the hard work of our students. We can’t wait to see you there!
Homework Club
Monday- Thursday ~ 7:30-7:50 a.m.
Homework Club is available to every morning in the library, providing students with a quiet space and support to complete their homework before the school day begins. All students are welcomed.

BoostCamp 2025: Summer Fun & Learning!
Access AfterSchool’s BoostCamp is a full-day summer program for students entering grades 1-5 at Rifle Middle School. Camp runs June 16th - July 18th (closed July 3rd & 4th).

Please call the office no later than 3:15 PM for any after-school messages. This ensures we have enough time to deliver messages to students before dismissal.

First bell rings at 7:55 ~ Tardy Bell rings at 8:00*
Learning begins at 8:00*
Students who arrive after 8:00 must be signed in by a parent or guardian in the front office.
All Visitors Are Welcome!
All visitors must have a valid ID and check in at the front office. This includes parents who walk students into the building and want to stay past the 8:00 bell.
