Snowshoe Elementary is committed to providing a quality education for every child. As part of this commitment, we will be holding our Annual Title I meetings and encourage you to attend. These meetings will be held in person on September 26th at 4:30pm, and on September 28th at 10:00 am Via ZOOM: Link:

This year we will also add a third option for those whose schedules, transportation needs, or childcare needs don’t allow them to attend either of our other options. This option is to schedule a one on one or small group meeting in person or via ZOOM during the week of Sept. 26th -Sept 29th. Please e-mail tammy.palmer@matsuk12.us by Sept. 22nd to schedule your personalized meeting as we anticipate our time slots filling up quickly.

TOUGH KIDS PARENTING CLASS OPPORTUNITY!
PARENTING THROUGH TOUGH KID MOMENTS WORKSHOP!
This workshop will focus on giving parents a fundamental understanding of the factors that cause behavior struggles and on effective positive behavior change strategies.
Class will begin on October 3 from 5:30pm-6:45pm and will continue each Tuesday for six weeks.

FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT!
KINDERGARTEN MOVIE AND PIZZA NIGHT!
Join us on Friday, September 29 for the movie "Elemental". This movie is rated PG.
Families can pre-order pizza by logging into your ParentVue account, click on the Fees section, click on "pay fees". Pizza is available by pre-order only. Deadline to order pizza is September 20 at 4:00pm. There will be concessions for purchase, cash only (small bills appreciated).
Doors open at 5:30pm. Movie starts at 6:00pm.
As with all family events, all students must be accompanied by parent or guardian. NO DROP OFFS ALLOWED!
There will be no seating, so bring your blankets, pillows, stuffies, or chairs to get cozy in the gym.

Do you have a 2nd or 3rd grade student at Snowshoe? The 2nd and 3rd Grade teams are holding an informational meeting regarding field trip planning on Thursday, September 28 at 4:00pm in the Snowshoe library.

2023 FALL HEALTHY FUTURES CHALLENGE IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER!
How does the Challenge work?
It’s simple! Students who are active for at least 60 minutes a day, 15 days a month, and record their activity on the Healthy Futures Activity Log are awarded fun incentives when their school representative submits the information to Healthy Futures via the online app.
· Monthly prizes and grand prizes awarded to students at every school. This session, student's will be receive yo-yo's, boomerang's and a soft throwing "splat" ball!
· Grand prize drawing for smart tablets for teachers who submit logs every month!
· The Challenge is FREE and open to schools around the Alaska!
