A Message from Mrs. Smith...
Thanks to your generosity, the Diocese of Venice, Florida received a donation of $1763 from our OLGC students for their schools. Your children's contributions on the dress down day on Friday, October 18th made this gift for hurricane relief possible. The schools in the Diocese of Venice and the Department of Catholic Schools for the Diocese of Trenton thank you!
As we look ahead to November, we will offer Aftercare on Monday and Tuesday, November 25 + 26 from noon - 6:00 PM. On those two days our students will be dismissed at noon so our teachers can hold Parent-Teacher conferences on Monday and Tuesday afternoon and Monday evening.
Speaking of Parent-Teacher Conferences -- please be sure that you schedule your conference through Genesis if you have not yet done so. Directions can be found here: OLGC Parent-Teacher Conferences or in the email sent on October 22. Address any Genesis issues with Mrs. Casey at scasey@olgc.me. Contact the teacher if you need to schedule and you are having difficulty accessing Genesis. The teacher can reserve your conference time in their calendar while you wait for Mrs. Casey to resolve your Genesis issue.
I must once again ask that all parents and caregivers refrain from driving in the school parking lot during morning drop off and afternoon dismissal. If there is a special circumstance, please reach out and we will work out a solution for accessing the school safely. We currently have one child who must be dropped off and picked up early because she is in a full leg cast. Her parents will drive into and exit the parking lot from the parish office driveway to have her use the ramp. This will be earlier than normal arrival and dismissal times, but please be mindful of this if you are walking your child in the morning. Their car will be gone before any students are dismissed in the afternoon.
God Bless,
Mrs. Cindy Smith
