Otsego High School
Weekly Newsletter (Semester 2, Quarter 4, Week 9)
From the Desk of Mr. O'Shea
That's a Wrap! Have a great Summer.
Next week I will recap the year and the newsletter will be all about the 2017-2018 School Year.
Spring Sports Awards are this Tuesday in the HS Auditorium at 7pm.
Overall, I am very proud of our staff and students this year as we continue to strive to build the best environment for kids as possible. It has been such an honor and blessing to work with our community, faculty and staff to provide the very best for our learners. I am proud to be called an Otsego Knight. Great job!
SUMMER SCHOOL
Please click the link above and fill out the information to sign up for Summer School courses. The deadline to sign up is Thursday, June 1st.
The cost to register is $100 dollars per semester course. If your child failed any classes this past school year you can sign her/him up and the office will select the class he/she needs to make up. If there are multiple failures we will select the most critical to make up.
Summer school is Monday - Thursday for 5 weeks. We begin on Monday June 5th and finish on Thursday July 13th. We will have NO Summer School the Week July 3rd - July 6th.
Summer Testing Re-Take Option
In an effort to get students on track with achieving success on the AIR assessments, Otsego, through PENTA, will be offering a summer intervention and testing opportunity on July 25th, 26th and 27th from 9 AM to noon. July 25th and 26th will be devoted to important academic intervention/support for 3 hours each day and the test will be administered on Friday, July 27th.
A commitment to participate can provide your student with a jump start in getting on track prior to the start of the new school year at a minimum cost of $25 per student. All AIR classes including Algebra I, Geometry, English, Biology, American History and Government will be taught by certified academic teachers Penta and associated schools.
Parents/students can register online at http://www.pentacareercenter.org/AIRAcademy.aspx.
I have attached an informational packet and registration sheet as well. We will send out letters to students that we feel should take advantage of this opportunity.
