We Have Made It!
Now go have a wonderful summer!
What to say? How to begin? How does one wrap up an entire school year?
In the spirit of what we have often talked about this year, in staff meetings, with our students, at Virtues assemblies, and graduation(s): when in doubt, lead with a spirit of gratitude.
Thank you first, to all of our families. Thank you for trusting St. Therese School with your most precious assets, your children. Without you, there would be no St. Therese. Thank you for pitching in, in the dozens of ways that you do, with committees, councils, shoveling snow, helping with field trips and class parties. Your efforts are priceless.
Thank you teachers for leading your students and classrooms with grace and humility, for giving more than you might have left in the tank, for your students. You have endured changes in leadership, good and bad times, challenges large and small, but your focus has remained on your students.
Thank you Father Gabriele. The timing of your placement at St. Therese was not ideal. Learning to run a parish and school with zero preparation, only by living the experience, is daunting to say the least. You have taken on the challenge with positivity and joy, patiently learning about the St. Therese community, and taking your time to meet families, students and staff. We couldn't have asked for a better pastor than you, to lead St. Therese into the future.
I must thank our support staff too. This school would not function without these folks. Simple as that. They do the hardest jobs, and they receive the least praise.
Thank you God for the entire St. Therese community, for the opportunity and privilege to lead this school for the last 2 years. It has been challenging, scary, and daunting. It has also been the greatest joy and learning experience of my life. I have forgotten to mention most folks, and there are many, but I have to stop writing at some point.
Once an Eagle, always an Eagle.
With all my heart, thank you.
Chris
"Miss no single opportunity of making some small sacrifice, here by a smiling look, there by a kindly word; always doing the smallest right and doing it all for love." - St. Therese of Lisieux
Some of our 8th Grade graduates enjoying some post-grad time at the coast.
We will miss them and we are excited to see what high school and beyond holds in store for these amazing young folks!
Giving Thanks For Summer
Father, Creator of all, thank You for summer!
Thank you for the warmth of the sun
and the increased daylight.
Thank You for the beauty I see all around me
and for the opportunity to be outside and enjoy Your creation.
Thank You for the increased time I have to be with my friends and family,
and for the more casual pace of the summer season.
Draw me closer to You this summer.
Teach me how I can pray
no matter where I am or what I am doing.
Warm my soul with the awareness of Your presence
and light my path with Your Word and Counsel.
As I enjoy Your creation, create in me
a pure heart and a hunger and a thirst for You.
Amen.
Notes from the Crew
Talk about hitting the ground running! Although starting here at St. Therese on December 1st was a very busy time to begin, it has been a thoroughly enjoyable 6 months with your children! Thank you with all my heart for choosing St. Therese as your school! I wish you all a blessed summer and look forward to seeing you drive up on the first day of school next fall! God Bless.

This past school year was amazing. I had an amazing group of first graders, an amazing group of supportive parents and worked with an amazing staff. Now I hope to have an amazing summer.
