November 11, 2024
We were delighted to honor our veterans day at our Veteran’s Day Assembly. Thank you to all veterans who have served and a special shoutout to those in attendance at today’s assembly and within our school’s community. Below are a few photos we wanted to share from today’s assembly.
Please click here to see the Veteran's pictures up close.
Please click on the video below for a Veteran's Day Message from our Robinwood Students.
Additionally, as conferences are coming up and teachers are looking forward to meeting with families to share the wonderful progress learners have made so far this year, we wanted to provide additional ways to support your learner’s progress outside of the classroom. Here are two resources to guide you:
Supporting your child(ren) at home can look many different ways. It could be reading together and discussing the text or writing notes to each other at home to practice organization, sentence structure, and spelling. It could also be doing a puzzle together to develop their spatial reasoning skills or a board game to build numeracy in mathematics. Support at home can be fun and engaging for the whole family!
Warm regards,
Lydia Sesing

How to Reach, Teach, & Support iGeneration Students: This session will be led by Katey McPherson, Child Advocate & Education Consultant and take place Forest Park Middle School in the Commons (map here) on Tuesday, November 12th @ 6pm.
In addition, this same session is also running in the Pewaukee Schools the day after ours. See their current flyer here for more details.
ON-SITE THERAPY CLINICS AVAILABLE WITH CPA
School is underway and kids are learning, growing and adjusting to a new routine and expectations. Paying attention to your child’s emotional well-being is a focus of the student services staff of Franklin Public Schools. For more information on mental health in children see HERE.
If you feel your child might benefit from further support, FPS has partnered with Clinical Psychology Associates (CPA), who has established counseling clinics in Pleasant View and Country Dale Elementary Schools available to provide further support and establish a process of therapy. All children in Franklin elementary schools have access to these services. For more information, please see our website. Appointments are scheduled directly with CPA staff by calling or texting (262) 251-1112.

It is also suggested that if possible, student items be labeled with the first and last name on it so that we can get it back to the student if it becomes lost. All items not picked up after 2 weeks will be donated.

FHS FALL PLAY: “ALMOST, MAINE” 11/14-11/17
The FHS Fall Play is fast approaching with shows taking place Thurs 11/14 through Sun 11/17. For tickets and show information, please visit the Saber Center website here.
Show Description: Welcome to Almost, Maine, a place that’s so far north, it’s almost not in the United States. It’s almost in Canada. And it’s not quite a town, because its residents never got around to getting organized. So it almost doesn’t exist. One cold, clear, winter night, as the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, the residents of Almost, Maine, find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend—almost—in this delightful midwinter night’s dream.
