April 11, 2025
Dear CCS Community,
As students were heading out for dismissal this past Wednesday, I had a lovely moment in the lobby. While using the phone for announcements, a wonderful second grader paused, reached up, and presented me with this beautiful piece of artwork she had created in class. It truly felt like a little love letter to our entire CCS community, and I wanted to share it with you all.
Following dismissal that day, our dedicated staff came together to begin the thoughtful process of planning classroom placements for the upcoming school year. This important work starts in April and culminates with sharing next year's class assignments with students and you in early June.
A valuable part of this process is gathering your insights about your child. We invite you to share your observations and perspectives through our Caregiver Input Form. Your feedback helps us understand your child's learning style and needs as we strive to create positive and supportive classroom environments. The information you provide will be carefully considered by the placement team and shared with your child's new teacher.
We want to be transparent that while we deeply value your input about your child's individual needs, we are unable to accommodate requests for specific teachers or peer pairings. Our priority is to build balanced classroom communities that offer rich social and academic opportunities for all students. We carefully consider many factors to create these dynamic learning groups.
Please complete and submit the Caregiver Input Form by April 27th, 2025, which is the last day of our upcoming vacation. This will allow our placement teams to have your valuable feedback as they continue their work. On the Monday we return from vacation, I will be organizing the input we receive and sharing it with the teams for their thoughtful consideration in planning for next school year.
Thank you for your partnership in ensuring a successful and enriching learning experience for every child at CCS.
Warmly,
Tim O’Leary, CCS Principal
