Happy Friday Cedar Families,

Illinois Assessment of Readiness testing has started and our 3rd - 5th grade students have shown great strength and perseverance. Please ensure students are getting to school on time so they do not miss their test times.

We need your help. We need more families to complete the 5Essentials survey. When completed, your student will receive Rocket Fuel to purchase fun items at school. Click here to access the survey. It will only take a few minutes.

We are entering our final week before Spring Break. We have our clubs running, Kindergarten registration starting on March 31, and our fundraiser has begun. Our book fair will take place next week also. Let's have some fun! Get involved where you can.

This message is for any families who have a student starting in Kindergarten next year at Cedar Ridge. We are excited to welcome you and your child to our Kindergarten Preview and Registration Day on April 17 from 12:30 to 2:00 PM.

During this event, families will remain in the gym for student registration and a presentation from our building administration. Meanwhile, our incoming kindergarteners will be escorted by a teacher to a classroom for a brief screening. Families will be asked to stay in the gym during this time.

We will also provide important information on required medical forms, and computers will be available for families needing assistance with the registration process.

If you have a student that will be joining us at Cedar Ridge next year, please contact the main office so we can send you the necessary information. Families are encourage to complete registration for all students by April 11. We look forward to meeting you and your child as we begin this exciting journey together! Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.

Our March focus is Conflict Resolution. We will continue using the cool tool "Stay in your bubble" and have added steps on what to do if there is a conflict: use your words, walk away/ignore, and tell an adult. We will also share the "Okay to Walk Away" video.

En marzo nos centraremos en la Resolución de Conflictos. Cedar Ridge is holding a 4 Week Basketball Skills Camp for both boys and girls in 4th/5th grade! It will be led by Coaches T.J. Smith and Levell Mables! Players from the Bloomington H.S. will be joining the coaching staff to mentor our 4th & 5th grade players!

During the camp, players will learn the basic skills of basketball, sharpen their skills they possess and HAVE FUN as a TEAM!

¡Cedar Ridge está llevando a cabo un campamento de habilidades de baloncesto de 4 semanas para niños y niñas en 4 º / 5 º grado! Será dirigido por los entrenadores T.J. Smith y Levell Mables. Jugadores de Bloomington H.S. se unirán al equipo de entrenadores para guiar a nuestros jugadores de 4to y 5to grado.

Durante el campamento, los jugadores aprenderán las técnicas básicas del baloncesto, perfeccionarán las habilidades que poseen y ¡SE DIVERTIRÁN como EQUIPO!

PTO Spring Fundraiser Info Coming Soon!
We’ are selling frozen pastries and cookie dough from Perfect Pastries. The fundraiser will run from February 28-March 17. Product pick up will be held at the school on April 9.

Thanks to all of your support with the Read-A-Thon during the Fall, we were able to replenish playground equipment for the students. Proceeds from the Spring Fundraiser will be used towards technology upgrades for the building.
