Every Student, Every Day!
Did you know...? Why Daily Attendance Matters:
Missed Lessons = Falling Behind: Even one day can mean missing critical instructions and activities, making it harder for your child to catch up.
Impact on Future Success: Consistent attendance is a strong predictor of academic achievement and future opportunities.
Building Resilience: Regular attendance teaches your child the value of perseverance and responsibility—essential skills for success in life.
Stronger Friendships: Daily presence helps your child develop and sustain friendships, which are crucial for emotional and social development.
Healthy Routine: Attending school every day establishes a stable routine, promoting better mental and physical health.

Student Schedules
Student schedules will be available to preview on PowerSchool on Monday, August 19. As a reminder, parents have access to their student's PowerSchool account (grades, attendance, and contact information) through the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Parents of LMS students will use the same access information from the previous year.
Incoming sixth graders and students new to the district should plan on attending Lancer Day on Monday, August 19 to pick up their schedule as Parent Portal information will not be sent home until the first day of school. Mrs. Weaver, our Guidance Counselor, will be reaching out to students new to the district (who have not completed a schedule) in early August to discuss classes and finalize student schedules.
Lancer Lunches - coming to LMS this fall!
Hollywood, Roosevelt, and Stewart Elementary Schools are partnering with Stevensville United Methodist Church to offer Lancer Lunches – a weekend supply of nutritious meals and snacks for children free of charge. This is possible through a generous grant from the Lakeshore Excellence Foundation. This year, we are excited to announce that the Lancer Lunches program will also include Lakeshore Middle School and Lakeshore High School as well!
The program will run throughout the school year. It is our hope that these resources will support the well-being and achievement of every student that participates in this program.
Enrollment is voluntary and confidential. Only the school administrators, guidance counselors, and individual classroom teachers will know which children are participating. The Lancer Lunches will be distributed each week in a discrete and caring manner.
If you would like your child/children to participate in this program, please complete the form below and return it to the Guidance Office by Thursday, August 29th. Printed copies of the attached letter will available in the office once school starts.

Athletic Forms/Registration
All athletic registration and forms will be completed and submitted online. To register your son or daughter for athletics, please create an account online and complete the registration process. Prior to the first tryout/practice, athletes must complete the new online registration- which includes online payment and submitting the MHSAA physical card. If you have any questions, please reach out to our Athletic Director, Greg Younger, at gyounger@lpslancer.net.
Physical Examinations: Students registering for athletics must have a current (dated on or after 4/15) physical examination on file in the athletic office before the student is authorized to participate in practice/tryouts. To ensure clearance for participation, physicals should be completed and uploaded prior to the first day of practice/tryouts. Completed physicals MUST be uploaded in “Step 4: Physical Forms” of the online registration form.
Back-To-School Night (9/3)
Mark your calendar! Back-to-School Night is designed to showcase individual classrooms and your student's teachers. The program is scheduled for Tuesday, September 3, from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. At Back-to-School Night, parents can expect to meet their child’s teachers and listen to a welcome and brief introduction to each class while following their schedule. As in previous years, printed schedules will not be distributed so please make sure you have logged into PowerSchool and can access it on your personal device prior to the event.
