Lincoln Bulletin
Once again we are in for four seasons in a few days, as many of us thought spring had sprung we are potentially in for another snow storm, hopefully, Tom Skilling is wrong. At Lincoln, we have continued to be busy and hard at work. In the upcoming weeks students will be involved in field trips, all school performances/assemblies, and other culminating schoolyear events. Please check our above dates to remember.
I would like to congratulate Will Navis and Gina DiPalarmo for being awarded a Grant from the Greater St. Charles Educational Foundation. The grant will provide backpacks and books for students related to sports and active lifestyles to check out. Also, next Tuesday we will host our 7th annual wellness fair in the evening.
Orchestra Concerts and Grade level music performances
Our spring orchestra concert was last night, this evening performance gave many of our Lincoln students the opportunity to showcase their musical talents. We even had one of our very own students sing a solo in French. It was a wonderful opportunity to see the many talents of our students and I look forward to seeing both band and our upcoming grade level music performances which are listed in our dates to remember.
I also want to thank Fran Fatta and Lori Rollins for their teamwork in preparing the students for the concert. Orchestra is very well organized and the preparation involved does not go unnoticed.
Also, our students will have an all-school assembly Monday morning from the Elgin Symphony Orchestra. This performance was organized by Marianne Rice our band director who used funds that were awarded by the Scout Foundation. This is a foundation that is in honor and legacy of a former Wasco student who loved learning and loved art and music.
