🌼Happy Spring!🌼
Summer Construction Projects
This summer, we will complete phase II of the bond projects passed as part of the 2022 referendum. As we approach the end of the school year, we wanted to provide an update about the upcoming summer construction projects and what to expect for the remainder of the school year.
Project spaces being renovated include:
High school classrooms for science, agriculture, FACS, woods, metals, and DCD special education
High school commons bathrooms
High school administrative office and front entrance
Middle school classrooms for industrial technology and FACS
Pilot projects at both Dassel and Cokato Elementary
In the coming weeks, we will begin preparing for the construction activities. Please note the following important dates and changes:
**Parking and Road Access** Beginning April 15th, Parking Lot A, located on the north side of the high school building, will be closed until fall. After school ends, fences will be constructed for safety purposes, and the road on the north side of the building will also close until fall.
**Moving classrooms** To accommodate construction schedules, classrooms being renovated will be emptied beginning May 13th. Classes have been assigned to alternate locations for the final two or three weeks of school.
**Construction Activities** As the high school classroom spaces are emptied, the classrooms and hallways will be sealed off to students and staff. Construction will officially start the week of May 20th with asbestos removal and demolition.
We understand these changes can cause some inconvenience. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to improve our school facilities by completing these summer projects.
