Interact and Key club are selling Hugs and Kisses Candy Grams for $1.00. They will be delivered to any student, teacher, or support staff on Wednesday, Feb. 12 during Raider Time. It's almost time for cap and gowns to be delivered. Final Payment is fast approaching if you have a lingering balance on your Josten's order. Final payment can be made online using the account created and confirmation number you recieved when ordering the C&G or you can pay cash on site on delivery day to the Josten's representatives. SSHS will not accept check or card payments.
All SSHS students wanting to participate in graduation must have a C&G. Please note, that you cannot randomly order a C&G off of Amazon. It MUST match our official design, coloring and style. Through our partnership with Varsity Tutors for Schools, South Sumter High School students can now use 24/7 On-Demand Chat Tutoring. When help is needed, connect with a highly qualified expert tutor, day or night.

Senior Information
College & Career Expo
The annual College & Career Expo will be hosted by VHS on Thursday, February 27, 2025. Business partners, colleges, institutions & military branches will promote their summer jobs, internships, career opportunities & graduate programs to Sumter County students. The bus will be leaving at 9 am & return before first lunch. Sign up in Mrs. Hooten’s room. You must have school insurance & dress professionally to attend.

Grad Bash at Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure is Friday, April 25th (7pm-2am) Tickets will be on sale January 30 – February 13 for $98 each from Mrs. Cofield. Your school $10 school insurance & permission slip must be given to her by April 11th.

We celebrated Aspyn Winter's debut author event with a book signing! The Raider Room was packed full of Raiders supporting Raiders!
Over 150 Sumter County Public Library System cards were issued to our students. Thank you to the SCPLS for partnering with the Raider Library.
PBIS at SSHS
Expectations
The school has a set of expectations for student behavior that will be taught to all students and recognized. These expectations apply to all areas of the school, including the classroom, hallways, lunchroom, and bus.
· Goal
The goal of PBIS is to create a positive school environment where students feel safe and can learn and grow.
· Teaching
Students are taught the school-wide expectations through examples and non-examples of appropriate behavior.
· Rewards
Students are rewarded with Raider Bucks for demonstrating expected behaviors by any staff member.
