PLC Work At Cimarron
Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) are a powerful approach to improving student outcomes. In a PLC at Cimarron, teachers collaborate regularly to analyze student data, share teaching strategies, and support each other in refining their practices. This teamwork ensures that all students receive the best possible instruction. Our teachers dedicate a full plan time each week to ensure that all students are learning at high levels.
Conferences- Coming Up
Conferences are taking place on September 17th and 19th. Scheduled conferences for select families, that will be pre-arranged by September 13th by each team, will take place from 3:45-5:00. Our open house, meaning students/parents can visit any classroom and teacher, takes place from 5:15-7:00. During this time your student will take you around to their various classrooms to show you their learning and growth so far this school year.
Instructional Support
As you may be aware, our school and our district uses iReady as our interim assessment tool to track students’ growth and progress. This is a message to let you know that if you are interested in purchasing the iReady instructional feature for your student for this school year, you may do so in MySchoolBucks. The cost is $20.25 for math and $20.25 for reading for a total of $40.50 for those who wish to purchase both subjects. However, parents may elect to purchase only one subject if they choose.
The i-Ready instructional feature can be a great supplement to their in person instruction and help students growth and achievement in math and/or reading. We recommend no more than 45 minutes a week for this intervention/support. This is a web based feature so it can easily be done from home as long as there is internet access.
Your students will be sharing their iReady results with you at conferences. Please make this decision no later than Friday September 27th so we can get this feature set up for those who wish to have it. If you have any questions about this option, feel free to contact Jessica Ranalletta at jranalletta@dcsdk12.org
Sincerely,
CIMS Leadership

We are always looking for gift card donations of $5 gift cards to support our Be Red card Friday Drawings. Students love Fika, McDonalds, Starbucks, Chick-fil-A, Berry Blendz, Swirls, Target just to name a few.
In an effort to show our appreciation for our outstanding staff, we are launching an initiative to provide them with tokens of gratitude throughout the year. These tokens, though small, carry a significant impact in letting our staff know that their hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed. To achieve this, we have created an Amazon Wish List filled with a variety of small thank-you gifts that our staff members would greatly appreciate. These gifts will be given out as tokens of appreciation to those who consistently go the extra mile for our students.
We kindly request your support in making this initiative a success. If you are able and willing, please consider visiting our Amazon Wish List and selecting an item or two to contribute. Your generosity will help us recognize and thank our staff for their tireless efforts in shaping our students' futures. Thank you for your continued support of our school community. Together, we can create a warm and encouraging atmosphere where our staff members feel valued and cherished!
