From the Principal's Desk
Zebra Nation,
What an incredible run by both our boys and girls basketball programs. Our boys finished their season on Saturday in the MSU Breslin Center as the Division 1 State Runner Up! Congratulations to the staff and team on an amazing, historic season! Also, our Zebra Band was awesome at the Breslin Center both Friday and Saturday, playing the National Anthem on Saturday to start the State Championship Game. #WaynePride
Our Lady Zebras continue their basketball tournament this week. They play on Tuesday in the State Quarterfinal Game vs. Temperance Bedford at the University of Detroit Mercy. Tip off is set for 5:30pm. If the girls win that game, they will then move on to the 'Final Four', playing in the 2pm game Friday at the MSU Breslin Center. If they win the Semifinal Game, they will play for the State Championship on Saturday at 12:15pm at the MSU Breslin Center. Good luck Ladies!! #WaynePride

Cool Classrooms
ELA 11 classes used their creative flair to create their own Frankenstein Monsters in order to solidify an understanding of adaptation in fiction. This engaging lesson also ties to the next standard of technology in society. Students grapple with the idea of answering that if these creatures could be created, should they be? What would be the ramifications of these creations to society, good or bad? It is a marvelous lesson to both review ideas and introduce new ones.
Student Activities

This past week, our dedicated student council members visited Roosevelt-McGrath Elementary to celebrate Reading Month by sharing their love for reading with younger students.
