📣A message from Principal Vaccaro
MPE Families,
I hope this message finds you well and that you had a wonderful weekend!
The start of the 2024-2025 school year is only a few days away! We are very excited to have students and staff back together on campus. There is more information on the procedure in the newsletter. Please plan accordingly, as our drop off lines will be long. Be sure to be courteous of others and pack your patience. Safety will continue to be our top priority and I need the entire community’s help to ensure a safe and successful start of the school year.
Lastly, please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. It is important that the lines of communication between all members of our school community remain open and available.Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s education. SMART TAG INFORMATION
Dear Registered SMART Tag Parents/Guardians,
This school year, the SMART Tag web-based Parent Portal will be replaced by the Smart Tag app. Parents may download the app via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
The SMART Tag app notifies parents when their child’s bus is on its way to pick up, or drop off, at the student’s designated stop. It also provides instant updates about delays, route alterations, or emergencies.
Parents who already have a Smart tag account will be able to use that same login information to access the app.

CLASS 1:1 INFORMATION
All students in grades 3rd-5th will receive a Chromebook that will be assigned to them the first week of school. Their Chromebook will be going home every day with them. These are ways to help them be successful with the Chromebook:
1. It is highly recommended to purchase the insurance for your child’s Chromebook. This is done during annual enrollment. If you opted out, you could always go back with in 30 days and opt to have the insurance.
2. Always charge it when you get home from school and place it back in your backpack so that you are prepared for the next school day.
3. Remember to treat it with care and respect. Do not throw it or eat when using your Chromebook. If the Chromebook breaks and needs to be replaced it will be the parents’ responsibility to repair or replace the device.
Thank you,
MPE Administration

TITLE ONE INFORMATION
Memorial Parkway Elementary is designated as a Title 1 school. All children in Title I schools benefit from additional technology, staff, and programs. Because there are more adults to help children, all children receive more individualized and small-group instruction. The goal of Title I services is to accelerate academic achievement so that all children meet or exceed state and federal standards of performance.
In addition to these extra supports, we know that parent and family engagement is also key in providing our students the best experience possible. Please read our Title 1 documents here:
