Letter from the Superintendent
Registration for the 4th Annual Tiger Trot!
Dear St. James School District Families,
I'm thrilled to announce the 4th Annual Tiger Trot, coming up on November 30, 2024! This year, we’re once again joining together for an exciting day of fitness, fun, and community spirit—all in support of our students. As always, every dollar raised through sponsorships and race entries will go toward providing a gift for each student in our district before winter break.
Your participation plays a vital role in making this effort a success, and we invite you to register today at Tiger Trot Sign Up. We’re also grateful for the ongoing support of our Gifts for Kids initiative, which you can learn more about here: Gifts for Kids Project.
Join us for the race on November 30th, where we’ll celebrate our community’s strength and generosity. We will also be having Tiger Trot Spirit Days at the end of the month to help kick-off the event! Together, we can ensure every child in our district experiences the joy of a special gift this holiday season.
Thank you for your support in making a positive difference for our students and community.
Warm regards,
Tim Webster
Superintendent
St. James School District

Lucy Wortham James Elementary: Shea Meurer and Courtney French
St. James Middle School: Latosha Mulhall and Carrie Carroll
St. James R-1 High School: Luke Overton and Tim McCormick
The "Leading the Tiger Way" teacher and staff of the month program is designed to spotlight one teacher and one classified staff from each building every month. We want to recognize our most dedicated and talented employees. This program allows each staff member an opportunity to nominate a peer who exemplifies the character and professional traits we strive for as a District.
Mr. Story’s Class Embraces INKTOBER!
Mr. Story’s Two-Dimensional Art class at St. James High School dove into the global INKTOBER challenge this October! Each day, students crafted a unique ink drawing that reflects their creativity and artistic skills. By October 31, these individual sketches came together to create a vibrant collage-style art display.

Middle School Food Drive Success!
Middle school students recently completed a successful food drive, filling the St. James Caring Center truck with over 1,000 donated items! Thank you to everyone who gave cans or spare change to support our community.
By giving back, our students are learning firsthand the impact of strong community partnerships and compassionate leadership.
Arts in Education: LWJE Tigers Soared with Peter Pan, Jr.!
Our elementary students recently enjoyed a magical performance of Peter Pan, Jr., thanks to the incredible Fine Linen Theatre! We extend our heartfelt gratitude to them for bringing live theater into our schools and inspiring the imaginations of our young learners. The St. James R-1 School District is proud to support Arts in Education and create meaningful experiences that will stay with our students for years to come.
