Dear School Community,
Happy New Year! I hope your holidays were filled with joy, rest, and quality time with loved ones. As we step into 2025, we are excited for the opportunities this new year will bring to our students, staff, and community.
January is School Board Recognition Month, and we are proud to honor the dedicated individuals who serve on the Spring Hill ISD Board of Trustees. Board members are representatives of the community who work collectively to support the students, staff, and educational processes of the District. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our board members for their tireless work and commitment to the success of every student in our District. TSIA 2.0 College Readiness Test - 130 tests passed by high school students
The Blue Brigade - State Championship Silver Medalist Marching Band
Forty-nine SHJH Students Made All-Region Band
Ten SHHS Students Made All-Region Band
Varsity Panther Football - 4th in District & 2024 Playoff Team
Nineteen players earned All-District honors
Lady Panther Volleyball - Area Qualifiers
Ten Volleyball players earned All-District honors
One player selected to the Texas Girls Coaches Association All-State Team
Girls Cross Country - Advanced to the Regional Meet
Varsity Tennis - Area Qualifiers
SHHS Theatre - Presented Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
SHJH Theatre - Presented The Bathroom Door at UIL One Act Play
Varsity Cheer - Tenth Place Finish at UIL Spirit State Championships Competition
SHHS Welding Students - Earned Certifications in the Texas High School Welding Series Regional Welding Competition
SHISD - Hosted National Night Out and Veterans Program for our community

Trustees Honored During School Board Recognition Month
January is School Board Recognition Month. We at Spring Hill ISD are truly grateful to our trustees for their dedication and commitment to Spring Hill schools and students!
The theme of this year’s School Board Recognition Month is Leadership for Tomorrow’s Texas, which spotlights the essential role school board members play in guiding the future of education. School board members are the largest group of locally-elected officials in the state.
“Our board members are so important. Their dedication, vision, and commitment help to make our district a success,” Superintendent Penny Fleet said.
Board members serving Spring Hill ISD are John Borens, Kyle Stephens, Holly Kirl, Todd Beall, Ben Shelton, Ryan Small, and Wayne Noon.
Science Fair Showcases Junior High Projects
Spring Hill Junior High recently hosted a Science Fair featuring projects developed by teams and individual students.
Parker Lollar won first place, Brittany Carreras placed second, and Norma Anderson and Valerie Moris earned third place honors. These students have the opportunity to participate in the East Texas Regional Science Fair at Kilgore College in February.
Other Science Fair participants included Enish Tiwari, Safik Shrestha, Alexander Garcia, Hannah Bagley, Leslie Garcia, Donna Rita Yaacoub, and Noah Graham.
Congratulations to all of the Science Fair participants on a job well done!
Spring Hill Cheer recently attended the UIL Spirit State Championships to compete with teams from across Texas. They advanced to the final round and achieved a school best finishing tenth in the state! Congratulations on your accomplishments and success!
Spring 2025 Student Transfer Applications Accepted Through February 7
Spring Hill ISD is accepting applications for a limited amount of out-of-district student transfers for the Spring 2025 semester through February 7. Access the Student Transfer Application here.

Eighth Grade Parent Meeting & Programs of Study Showcase
This event for Eighth Grade students and parents will help prepare students to make High School course plan selections, and will highlight Programs of Study and extracurricular activities available at Spring Hill High School. Make plans to attend!
Mark your calendar! Spring Hill High School is hosting a FAFSA Night for current seniors and their parents on Monday, February 3 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Kilgore College financial aid personnel will be present to help parents and students complete the FAFSA. It is recommended that parents and students create an FSA ID (username and password combination) prior to the meeting. Watch this video to learn how.

Social Security Number (Student and Parent)
2023 Tax Returns, W-2s or other tax information that will provide information on household income.
Special conditions:
If student has SSN, but parents do not, fill out FAFSA (assistance will be needed to correctly complete)
If neither student nor parent has SSN, fill out TASFA
SHHS Juniors & Seniors planning to take the ACT are invited to sign up for this ACT Test Prep Course. This prep course for students will be held during the school day on Thursday, March 27, 2025 and will feature a math specialist and an ELAR specialist. The cost is $41 per student for materials. Each student will receive a “Doorway to College Foundation Study Guide” and a workbook of practice assessments. Students are asked to bring pencils, highlighters, a graphing calculator, and notebook paper with them to the course.

Keeping Our Schools Safe With The STOPit App
Spring Hill ISD is partnering with STOPit Solutions, a nationally recognized leader in school safety and wellness. Through this partnership, our entire school community is provided with access to the STOPit anonymous reporting app – a powerful tool designed to deter and promptly address instances of bullying, school violence, self-harm, and inappropriate behaviors.
Key Features of the STOPit app:
- Anonymous Tip Submission: Users can anonymously submit tips to designated school personnel, ensuring confidentiality, and encouraging individuals to come forward with their concerns.
- Photo or Video Evidence: The app allows for the submission of photo or video evidence to provide additional context or proof of the incident.
- Two-Way Anonymous Communication: The app enables users to message anonymously with school personnel until the incident is resolved.
- 24/7 Crisis Counseling: Recognizing the importance of immediate support, the app connects users in distress with trained crisis counselors. Users can text with a counselor (day or night) until they feel safe and calm.
The STOPit app is available on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

The beginning of a new calendar year is the perfect time to make certain your contact information in Skyward is up to date. If your phone number, address, or email address has changed since the beginning of the school year, contact your child's campus office to update your information on file with the school district. This ensures you will receive important communication from Spring Hill ISD regarding your student. Thank you for your help!

Spring Hill ISD is sharing this information about the district with you as part of its obligations under the federal Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015 (ESSA).
Federal Report Cards for the state, the district, and each of the district’s campuses are now available on the district’s website at this link listed under TEA Report Cards, or are also available on the Texas Education Agency’s website.
