π Hello PRS Wizards π
I trust everyone enjoyed a rejuvenating week and is now ready to tackle the final few months of the school year. This week, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) will be conducting a comprehensive review of the district. DESE does this with every school district and this year it happens to be HPS's turn. They will be touring PRS throughout the entire day on Tuesday.
As we approach the end of the school year, time will seem to fly by at a rapid pace, and before we know it, June 14th will be upon us. Let's make these remaining months memorable and enjoyable while also remembering that our learning journey continues. Remember, we have the upcoming MCAS assessments for math, and for 5th grade, science. Let's embrace this time with a spirit of enthusiasm and dedication!

π Happy Earth Day!π
Monday, April 22nd is Earth Day, and the theme this year is "Planet vs. Plastics." So naturally, the PTO Green Team is challenging the PRS community to use less plastic! Single-use plastic is bad for the ocean, the land, and our health - but we can make a difference. How?
- Pack snacks and lunch in reusable containers instead of individually wrapped plastic packages.
- Skip drinks that come in disposable plastic bottles or cartons that wind up in the trash.
- Avoid ziploc, plastic baggies, and plastic wrap; choose reusable containers instead.
- Say no to plastic plates, straws, and utensils.
We hope you'll join us this week and beyond in saying NO to disposable single-use plastics! Print out this handy sheet from Less Plastic as a reminder. Thank you and Happy Earth Day!
