Appleton Echo
Autumn Term 1 Week 4
A word from Mr Broom
It's been another excellent week of learning at Appleton and collaboration has been one of the main themes this week. It was wonderful to see the year 1 children sharing their writing with Reception, who now have a clear focus to aspire to. Our Year 2 children have been planting seeds in Science and have been working hard writing a description of themselves in English.
Further up school, our Year 3/4 children have been comparing rocks and their properties as part of their Science topic. Year 5 and 6 have been working hard with addition and subtraction strategies in Maths and investigating how we see in Science. It was another busy club night despite a few changes and the wet weather!
It was also our PTA AGM and thank you to everyone who came along. There's lots planned for an exciting year ahead. They are also looking for volunteers to come and join them as without the PTA our children wouldn't get to experience some of the wonderful things that they have organised. If you would like any more information about the PTA please ask myself, Miss Stephan or Mr Snowden.
Have a super weekend everyone.

We are a 'Nut Free' School
A polite reminder that we have children in school who have severe nut allergies. Please ensure that you do not bring nuts on to the school site or include them in packed lunches.
