Responsibility was our character education word this month. Thank you to all of those that went above and beyond to show responsibility here at CIS. We are excited to celebrate our 10 students selected that showed up and were exemplary at being responsible this month. Our September winners are Averi R., Caroline P., Harper C., Abigail D., Justus S., Johnathan N., Eason S., Reagan M., Austin H., and Sarah S. Congratulations to our September character education winners!
For the month of October, we will focus on the trait of empathy. We encourage students to show empathy by sitting with another student in their hurt or feeling. This is typically a “we” not “me” mindset. Teachers will be encouraging this character trait throughout the month too. They will be on the lookout for students that show empathy well. We will have our October winners announced towards the end of the month.
Reminder: These winners will also be in flight log, be on the TV screens in the CIS building, receive WINGS cash, receive a certificate, and receive a phone call home. Please reach out to Ms. LeMoine if you have any further questions about our monthly award. We look forward to seeing different ways students are empathetic this month!!
FRAMES ARE STILL AVAILABLE FOR NEXT WEEK! FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE!!

Hello Chapin Intermediate Families!
With the help of Fidelis Family Retreat, a local nonprofit supporting Veteran families, we are excited to offer a special club for 5th and 6th-grade Veteran-connected students. The club will meet twice monthly for friendship, fun, and festivities! The day and time will be determined once we finish working out a few details.
If your family is Military-connected or has a Veteran in the family please CLICK HERE to fill out a Google form letting us know more about you. We would love to know more about our amazing Veteran family population and invite your child to join the fun!
