Welcome back to school! The 23-24 school year is expected to be another productive and exciting year for the West Belmar Bears. The teachers and support staff have been preparing and shaping up the school and classrooms for the opening of school.
As the school year begins it is a time of new beginnings, new surroundings, new friends, and new challenges. I encourage you to play an active role in your child’s education. Take the time each day to ask your child open-ended questions and discuss his/her school day. Always offer positive feedback and your consistent interest will play an important role in your child’s learning success.
West Belmar will once again be serving breakfast. Breakfast will be served Monday – Friday starting at 8:35 a.m. and ending at 9:00 a.m. The breakfast program provides an opportunity for your child to begin his/her school day with a nutritious start that assists in the development of healthy eating habits. Plus, it will optimize academic achievement in the classroom.
Back to School Night will be held on Monday, September 18th at 7:00 p.m. Our first PTA meeting will be held on September 13th at 7:00 PM in the media center. We will be discussing fundraisers, school and district events, school projects and up and up-and-coming events for this school year.
I am looking forward to continuing to strive to achieve our schools’ goals and Build a Tradition of Excellence in the “Small School with a Big Heart!”
