Family Bulletin
Good evening, Evergreen families!
We have completed two months of school, and your students are doing so much learning here at Evergreen! This week we had our Wildcat Assembly, honoring students in each classroom for “collaboration”. We also recognized students for our Dig Your Claws into Reading competition!
This next Monday I would like to invite you to a special PTSO meeting at 5:15 pm in our library! At this meeting you will have an opportunity to share your input on the future of our school. We will be serving pizza for dinner. This is an important meeting to get input from our families and share data from our state report card, current academic assessments, current attendance data and student/staff surveys. I hope you are able to join us at 5:15 pm on Monday, November 5th in our library!
Our Veterans Day Assembly will be on November 8th. Please send any photos of Veterans in your family for the slide show we will present by November 4th. All photos should be sent to Ms. Barnes at kbarnes@sheltonschools.org or a copy brought into the music room.
Please mark your calendar for our Literacy Night on November 21st, 5:30-7 pm. This is such a fun night; we serve dinner and provide many activities to improve every student's literacy skills! They are activities you can do at home so we may team together in your child's learning.
Current after school activities are choir on Thursday mornings and our Acceleration Team on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons. There is no transportation for our Acceleration Team in the afternoon.
Our goals are improving reading skills and attendance! Two ways you can help are reading time at home daily and prioritizing school attendance.
Thank you for being a partner with us in your students' learning! Have a wonderful “Wildcat” weekend!!
