Students First, Every Day!
Dear White Oak Community,
As we approach the last week of school, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks for your continued support throughout this wonderful year. Here are some important reminders and updates for the upcoming week:
Yearbook Sales- Yearbooks will be available for purchase before and after school on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday for $30 cash. Don't wait- we only have 115 copies to purchase.
Awards Assembly for 4th and 5th Grade- We are excited to celebrate our students' achievements at the Awards Assembly on Monday, June 2, at 9:00 a.m. Invitations have been sent home to parents of students receiving an award. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child's teacher.
5th Grade Promotion- The 5th grade promotion ceremony will take place on Wednesday, June 4, at 9:00 a.m. We look forward to honoring our 5th grade students and sharing this special milestone with their families. Please read the email sent out last week and see more below. Fifth grade students are still expected to attend school on Thursday and Friday!
Early Dismissal on the Last Day of School- Please remember that the last day of school, Friday, June 6, will have an early dismissal time of 12:15 p.m.
Final Spirit Assembly- All parents are invited to attend our last Spirit Assembly on Friday, June 6 at 8:30 a.m. We will be recognizing our Sacrifice Superstars and coming together one last time to celebrate the end of an amazing year! Our 5th graders will perform one last time in front of the whole school.
Lost and Found Donations- Our Lost and Found leftover items will be donated on Friday, June 6 at 3:00 p.m. Please check for any missing items before you leave campus.
Summer Activities to Keep Skills Strong- As we break for summer, we encourage you to keep your child's skills sharp by engaging in the following activities:
- Daily reading: Encourage your child to read books of their interest.
- Math practice: Utilize online resources (iReady is available until August 1st) or math workbooks.
- Educational games and puzzles: These can be both fun and beneficial.
- Explore hobbies: Summer is a great time to develop new skills and interests.
Thank you once again for an incredible year. We hope you have a safe and enjoyable summer break, and we look forward to seeing everyone back in August refreshed and ready for the new school year!
Cheers to Week 39. It's GREAT to be a WILDCAT!
Warmly,
Jen Culbertson

Remind Your Wildcat to FINISH STRONG!
As we finish that last 5 days of school, we hope all students will FINISH STRONG. Many of our students are still taking their end of the year assessments for STAR and iREADY. Please remind your child to take the tests seriously so we have an accurate indication of their strengths and areas of need. When students rush to finish tests, the results are not accurate. Also, please remind your child to show their CATS expectations throughout campus. We want ALL students to Choose Kindness, Act Safely, Think Scholarly, and Show Respect. Thank you for your continued support.
