Holiday Giving Project 2024 Referral and Consent Form
The Holiday Giving Project has provided Thanksgiving and December holiday assistance to low-income households for over 30 years. A network of social workers, school counselors, and human service professionals refer families in need of assistance. Local non-profits, faith-based organizations, and public agencies serve Holiday Giving recipients, as donations are available. If you and your family are in need and would like to be referred for possible assistance for the holiday season, please complete this referral form to provide the required information. Resources are limited: please apply only if you and your family are truly in need. While a referral is not a guarantee of assistance, the Project helps as many families in need as donations allow.

Meet our RHMS Career Advisor and Learn About the Career Advising Program
Hello Rocky Hill Families!
My name is Arielle Brown, and I am excited to introduce myself as the career advisor here at Rocky Hill Middle School! This role is part of the Montgomery County Career Advising Program (MoCo CAP), based on the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future, which aims to ensure all students are college, community, and career-ready by the end of 10th grade. The Blueprint mandates partnerships between local workforce boards and education institutions to provide these services. All Career Advising coaches are employees of WorkSource Montgomery.
This year, I am focused on supporting all students and introducing them to the RIASEC model, which helps them explore their strengths, interests, and values. By doing so, we aim to create pathways for a bright future in both careers and personal wellness. I will be working with students through classroom lessons, small group meetings, individual appointments, and presentations during school events.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at Arielle.D.Brown@mcpsmd.org. I am thrilled to be part of the Rocky Hill community and look forward to working and growing together!
MCPS Piano Sale
PTSA News
We are also still in need of more Baked Good Donations for our Bake Sale Fundraiser on Election Day. You can drop off baked or packaged goods on November 4 in the RHMS Main Office, the day before the Bake Sale, or November 5 at the actual table (will be inside RHMS). Students can earn SSL hours for baking goods. There is NO limit on how many hours they can earn for baking goods, so if they like to bake in bulk, this is a good way to rack up SSL hours! You can also sign up to donate packaged commercial goods like chips but no SSL hours will be awarded.
Students can earn one hour for any of the following:
1) Bake 20 cookies (2.5"-3" in diameter) and wrap individually (or in a bag of 2);
2) 20 regular size cupcakes or muffins;
3) 1 baked dessert loaf (use an 8.5" X 4.5" X 2.5" pan) cut into individually wrapped slices; or
4) 20 dessert type bars (rice crispy treats, brownies, blondies, etc.) wrapped individually

Intramurals
Want something to do after school? We've got LOTS of Intramurals coming up! Intramurals are an extension of our PE program and give students an opportunity to be active after school in a variety of ways throughout the year. In order to participate, students must have an Intramural Permission slip turned into Ms. Brouillard and be academically eligible from the previous quarter (minimum 2.0 GPA with no more than 1 "E" on their previous report card). No equipment is needed, and all skill levels are welcomed! All intramurals are over by 4:20. If a student can't get picked up at 4:20, Activity Buses are available to bring them to their neighborhood. Click here to see the Activity Bus Routes.
Tennis/Pickleball will continue to meet on Tuesdays & Wednesdays through Tuesday, November 19; Soccer Intramurals on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays starting November 12-21; and Flag Football Intramurals on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for the month of December. Got questions or need an Intramural Permission Slip? See your PE/Health teacher today!!
