πŸ“£ Families! Here's What's Happening This Month:

We are completing TELPAS testing to see how much our students have grown in their English language skills! We are also preparing for upcoming STAAR tests, celebrating the spirit of relaxation with Spring Break, and starting the last quarter strong, by returning on March 24th, on time and ready to go!

πŸ—£ Announcements and Updates✍🏽

No Means No Consent Presentation

As required by state law, we had trainers come in to talk to students about the legal ramifications around consent, digital safety, and respecting their own boundaries and those of others.

TSI testing - Celebrating the Path to College

TSI is a test that predicts student readiness and college success. Our students are almost complete with their Math and English assessments, and so far, 80% of our students have passed Math!

Spring Music Fiesta

A community music event to promote arts and music education, celebrate student work and the connection between music and student achievement. There will be food and fun and admission is free!
Here is an video about attendance and how it can impact your student's learning!
The statistics in this video say 1 in 10 students are chronically absent, but post pandemic that number is closer to 1 in 8!

This is an event for parents and students of 8th graders who will begin High School next year! We will be talking about the steps to graduation, expectations for HS students, and support re-enrollment.

Spring Intersession for invited students, March 10th-14th 7-3pm (light breakfast and lunch included)

Spring Break for everyone, March 17-23rd

Rising High School Night, March 27th from 4:15-6pm

Re-enrollment due March 31st, or transportation is NOT guaranteed for 24-25.

Scholar Led Conferences (1/2 day for students), April 2nd 1-6pm

Is your child struggling with coming to school or with homework? Here's how we can help:
  • Intervention resources include IXL, across all subjects, which calibrates to your student's level
  • Supports for mental health and counseling support can be found by calling our office and asking for Ms. Rodriguez.
  • The attendance office can help provide supports for chronically absent students by calling (915)-298-3901 and speaking with Ms. Torres.
