LPS Tiger Talk

Dear LPS Families,

October is really when you start to see how hard our teachers have worked to establish routines, procedures, and expectations in their classrooms for the new school year. Things start to settle in and this year is no different. Our Tigers are participating in more personalized learning everyday. In visiting classrooms this week, I witnessed students successfully working in a variety of situations from small groups and 1:1 conferences, to whole class lessons, discussions, and activities.

LPS is committed to our students' success and we work hard to set our students up for an amazing future. Thanks for sharing your Tiger with us! I hope you have a wonderful weekend. We will see our Tigers on Monday!

Walk-A-Thon Was a Success!

Thank you so much to all of the parent volunteers that were able to join us for Walk-A-Thon! We could not have done it without you!! Currently we have made it to 99% of our fundraising goal and appreciate all the donations families have been making! Kindness Club

Our October Compassion Project will be Socktober! Did you know that there are 600,000 people living on the streets of the US? Did you know that socks are the number 1 requested item for Homeless Shelters? Check out a cool video about Socktober from Kid President by clicking this link. Such a small act of kindness can really make a BIG difference!!

Goal: Collect 2,500 NEW pairs of socks

When: October 1- October 31

How: You can bring in any NEW pairs of socks or order from this Amazon link. If you order from the Amazon link, socks will be delivered directly to LES. If you bring in socks to LPS, please take them to Mrs. Chandler’s office!

You never know what you’ll find during Insect Safari in the garden! And so happy to see we had a monarch butterfly visiting too.
