Mathematics Achievement Academies - Summer 2025
Original Math Academies
Participants will enhance their knowledge and skills needed to effectively teach students to achieve mathematical proficiency and learn instructional practices that will help students develop problem-solving skills and a strong foundation of number sense and fluency.
The academies are free to attend. There is a $350 stipend for any teacher who successfully completes the 3-day course and that have not previously received a math academy stipend. Teachers may attend multiple academies, however they are only eligible to receive the stipend one time.

Research Based Instructional Strategies for Mathematics (K-12)
RBIS - Math for Grades K-12
Come spend the day with us learning about Researched-Based Instructional Strategies (RBIS) for Math! During this session, we will learn about some common misconceptions and best practices for teaching mathematics in the K-12 classroom. These practices are supported by research and should be present in every classroom, regardless of the instructional materials being utilized.

Bluebonnet Learning K-5 Math: Product Learning
This engaging and hands-on training gives educators the opportunity to explore the Bluebonnet Learning K-5 Math curriculum in depth, understand the purpose of each component, and practice applying them in daily instruction. Through interactive activities, participants will discover practical ways to integrate product components into their teaching to support student learning. Time will be given for collaborative problem-solving to develop personalized strategies for a smooth curriculum transition for their unique classroom. The session will focus on practical strategies and real-world applications, ensuring that educators leave with a clear, actionable plan to implement in their teaching.

Bluebonnet Learning K-5 Math: Internalization
In this training, educators will deepen their understanding of the curriculum by exploring the big picture and identifying key learning goals. They will examine the arc of learning to see how concepts build over time and gain clarity on the intended outcomes. The session will begin with a discussion on the meaning of internalization and what the process includes, helping educators understand its role in effective instruction. Through a guided process, participants will first learn how to internalize modules and lessons, building the skills needed to effectively plan and teach. They will then apply these skills by internalizing Module 1 and a few lessons from their specified grade level. The session will also focus on preparing to teach each activity effectively and organizing resources to ensure a smooth and structured implementation.
