Chester Elementary School

Dear CES Family,

To start: a huge thanks to those of you that helped us out when we were in a pinch with our bus transportation this afternoon. Our driver had an emergency situation come up and needed to leave early. Second: we had a great Monday Morning Meeting this week. The focus was on honoring first responders as we took time to commemorate Patriot Day (9/11). Four local first responders were able to be in attendance with us: West Shore Firefighter Matt Turner, CHP Officer Taylor Fountain (CES parent), CHP Lt. Lacey Carney (CES parent) and PCSO Deputy Dick Wustrack. It was a really special morning. Thank you so much to these local heroes and public servants for showing up. It's so important for our students to learn our nation's history and how to honor those that are worthy of respect. This was certainly such an occasion.
