The Talley library does NOT host a traditional book fair, so this is our big fundraiser for the year. We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you TOMORROW! The Talley plastic film drive was an overwhelming success. Together, our families and staff diverted an estimated 360 pounds of recycled material from the landfill. (Altruismo students led the pack with a dozen 40-gallon contractor bags to earn the 20 house points.) Thank you for all your support!

In addition, because more than 10 families signed up for Ridwell’s home-pickup service, Talley has earned additional free plastic film pickups for the whole school. Collections will be held every two weeks starting in January 2025. A specific start date will be forthcoming. If we reach 20 memberships before December 15, we will earn a field trip to the Ridwell warehouse. Learn more at get.ridwell.com/talley.

The Talley Green Team is now collecting old socks for textile recycling. Socks may be any brand in any condition. Single socks, socks with hole – send them in! But, all donations MUST be clean. This program is for used socks only, not donations of new pairs. Nor are stockings, tights or pantyhose accepted. Donations should be dropped off in Ms. Stuart’s classroom in the fourth grade hallway. We appreciate your support.

• There’s still time to thank your crossing guards this week during Crossing Guard Appreciation Week (November 11-15)! Kids can make thank-you cards and give them to the guards on their routes tomorrow. Thank you for the contributions to gift cards for each of our 20+ crossing guards!
